Meet Michael
For over 25 years, Michael has helped clients grow their business. With a focus on improving his methods and efficiency, Michael has assisted numerous clients with improving their processes and ultimately boosting their results.
With a passion for accounting and auditing, Michael has worked with local and state government, within commercial accounting firms, and for various professional practices. This experience has provided him with a exceptional ability to both understand your business, and develop actionable reporting.
After becoming a Registered Company Auditor in 2009, Michael has undertaken a variety of audit and other assurance engagements for a range of clients including; not-for-profits, education, manufacturing, entertainment, distribution, clubs, IT, subscription-based companies, mining support and exploration, unions and hire companies.
In 2010, Michael undertook a Masters of Business Administration with Australian Graduate School of Management which he successfully completed in 2012. This has proven invaluable from a strategic, relationship management, business communication and organisational perspective.
As Finance Manager, Michael was involved in:
- Documentation and process mapping all of the key financial tasks for the business
- Attending weekly/fortnightly tasks such as AP, AR and Payroll
- Preparation and review of month-end reconciliations/reports and the analysis of results
- Primary point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants
- Sourcing, developing and implementing a new finance package (SUN systems)
- Provision of information over a nine month period for venture capitalists, who eventually acquired a substantial interest in the business
